Cozartan 100 (Losartan 100 mg) Tablet is an angiotensin II receptor blocker (ARB) medication used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension) and heart failure. It works by blocking the action of a hormone called angiotensin II, which causes blood vessels to narrow and blood pressure to rise. By blocking the action of this hormone, Cozartan 100 helps to relax blood vessels and lower blood pressure, which can help prevent heart attacks and stroke.
In addition to its effects on blood pressure, Cozartan 100 (Losartan 100 mg) Tablet has also been shown to be effective in preserving kidney function in patients with type 2 diabetes who have protein in their urine. This is important because diabetes can damage the kidneys over time, and preserving kidney function can help prevent complications such as kidney failure and is also indicated for use in patients with chronic heart failure when ACE (angiotensin-converting-enzyme inhibitors) medicines becomes ineffective to treat the disease. Cozartan 100 (Losartan 100 mg) Tablet is also used to decrease the risk of stroke in patients with high blood pressure and thickening of left ventricle.

It's important to continue taking Cozartan 100 (Losartan 100 mg) Tablet regularly, even if you feel well or if your blood pressure is controlled. It's also important to not stop taking Cozartan 100 without consulting your healthcare provider, as they may need to adjust the dosage or switch you to another medication.
Cozartan 100 (Losartan 100 mg) Tablet is widely used and considered safe for long-term use, but like any medication, it may cause side effects. It's important to inform your healthcare provider if you experience any unusual symptoms or side effects while taking Cozartan 100 (Losartan 100 mg) Tablet, as they may need to adjust the dosage or switch you to another medication.
